At the LMBI, our goal is to engineer Molecules to control Materials for Medicines (a M3 strategy). We employ the synthetic chemistry in the development of novel materials for basic science and applications spanning the interface of chemistry, materials, engineering and biology. The LMBI will direct the efforts in both venues of nanomaterials and biomaterials towards real-world biomedical applications: from synthesis of advanced materials, use of microscale technologies and in vitro cell modulation to in vivo animal model and clinical human studies.
